John Palmer is Founder and Owner of Palmer Financial, a private and independent boutique investment management practice. He is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a Certified Investment Management Analyst®.
Prior to founding Palmer Financial, John was Vice President-Investments and Senior Portfolio Manager at Wells Fargo Advisors Clearing Services, LLC. He currently serves as an arbitrator with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. He is a graduate of the Kinder Institute of Life Planning and has completed graduate studies at the Wharton School and Oxford University.
John also holds joint MBA degrees from NYU-Stern, the London School of Economics, and HEC-Paris. As a member of the Global Investment Committee at the CFA Society New York, he participated in international delegations with the New York Stock Exchange to Beijing and Shanghai. After studying and traveling across many regions of the world, he is more committed than ever to investing primarily in U.S. companies.
At the same time, John recognizes the importance of strong and unbiased compliance oversight and that certain responsibilities are best delegated to trusted third parties. For these reasons, in 2026 John affiliated Palmer Financial with Prospera Financial, an award-winning independent advisory firm headquartered in Dallas, TX. This affiliation allows John to offer independent advice while maintaining a long-standing relationship with Wells Fargo Clearing Services (operating as First Clearing), which provides secure custody, clearing, recordkeeping, and operational support for client accounts.
